LUNI Cat Clinics
Bringing essential funding and support to the cats of Gili Meno
Who We Are
LUNI Lombok is a grassroots nonprofit bringing veterinary care, sterilisation, and compassion to the stray cats and animals of the Gili Islands - running permanent clinics, pop-up TNR programmes, and community education to build a kinder island life for every creature.
Why we’re here
The Gilis look like paradise - and for most visitors, they are. But for the islands' stray cats, life has long been a very different story: no veterinary care, no sterilisation, and no safety net. LUNI Lombok - whose name stands for Love the Unwanted, Neglected, and Ill - was founded in 2021 to change that.
From small beginnings
What began as a small feeding operation on Gili Trawangan has grown into a fully fledged animal welfare organisation operating across all three islands. LUNI now runs permanent veterinary clinics, regular Trap-Neuter-Return programmes, daily feeding rounds, wildlife rescue, and community education initiatives - giving hundreds of cats each year access to the care they desperately need.
Providing support
We're proud to support LUNI's work on Gili Meno, where pop-up cat clinics bring sterilisation, vaccination, and medical treatment to one of the quieter, more underserved corners of the archipelago. It's unglamorous, vital work - and it makes a genuine difference to the animals that share these islands with us.
If you'd like to help, donations go directly to vet care, food, and sterilisation. Every bit counts.
