Terms & Conditions

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern the purchase and use of GiliPass (“GiliPass”, “we”, “us”, “our”), a digital access pass.By purchasing or using a GiliPass, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. About GiliPass

GiliPass is a digital access pass providing users with access to offers, discounts, and benefits made available by independent third-party businesses (“Partners”) located on the Gili Islands.

GiliPass is a digital product only. We do not operate, manage, control, or provide any services offered by Partner businesses.

All services, products, and experiences are provided directly by Partners.

2. Nature of Service

GiliPass is not:

  • A booking platform

  • A travel agency

  • A tour operator

  • An intermediary for transactions between users and Partners

GiliPass does not arrange, sell, or fulfil any Partner services.

The purchase of a GiliPass grants access to Partner offers only. Any booking, purchase, or interaction with a Partner is solely between the user and that Partner.

No financial relationship exists between GiliPass and its Partners in relation to customer transactions.

3. Eligibility & Use of the Pass

  • Each GiliPass is valid for one (1) individual only

  • Passes are non-transferable

  • Passes are valid for 30 days from the date of purchase, unless otherwise stated

  • A valid Pass must be presented at the time of redemption

Partners may request photo identification to verify ownership.

3.1 Verification Methods

To redeem a benefit, users must present one of the following:

  • GiliPass email

  • Live ‘Pass Checker’ verification link

  • Unique QR code

  • 7-digit passcode (manual verification)

Internet access is recommended but not required.

3.2 Age & Eligibility

Use of GiliPass is subject to the rules, policies, and legal requirements of each Partner.

Some services may have:

  • Minimum age requirements

  • Health or safety conditions

  • Legal restrictions

Where a Pass is used by a minor, responsibility lies entirely with the parent or legal guardian.

GiliPass does not override any Partner requirements.

4. Digital Delivery

  • Passes are delivered via email after successful payment

  • If not received within 1 hour, contact: support@gilipass.com

  • Users are responsible for providing a correct email address

5. Refund Policy

Due to the digital nature of the product, all sales are final.

Refunds are only issued where:

  • The Pass is not delivered, and

  • Delivery cannot be completed due to a verified technical failure

No refunds are provided for:

  • Change of mind

  • Incorrect purchase

  • Unused or partially used Passes

  • Partner availability or refusal

  • Weather or external conditions

  • Lack of internet access

6. Partner Businesses

Partners are independent third-party businesses.

GiliPass does not control or guarantee:

  • Service quality

  • Safety standards

  • Availability or capacity

  • Pricing or operational decisions

  • Staff conduct

Any issues, disputes, or complaints must be handled directly with the Partner.

7. Accuracy of Information

We aim to keep listings accurate, but:

  • Offers may change or be withdrawn at any time

  • Partners may cease participation without notice

GiliPass is not liable for inaccuracies or changes.

8. Dive Shop Terms

The following additional terms apply when using GiliPass with participating dive shops.

8.1 One Pass Per Diver

Each GiliPass is valid for one diver only and may not be shared.

8.2 No Stacking of Discounts

GiliPass discounts cannot be combined with:

  • Promotions

  • Early-bird offers

  • Group rates

  • Package deals

  • Loyalty programs

Only the GiliPass rate applies.

8.3 Declaration Requirement

GiliPass must be declared at the start of any interaction, including:

  • Course bookings

  • Fun dives

  • Enquiries or price discussions

Failure to declare GiliPass in advance may result in the discount being refused.

8.4 Valid Pass Requirement

The Pass must be:

  • Active and within its validity period

  • Presented digitally

  • Verifiable via the official GiliPass system

Dive shops may refuse discounts where verification is not possible.

8.5 Standard Diving Requirements

All divers must meet the dive shop’s requirements, including:

  • Minimum age

  • Medical fitness

  • Safety assessments

  • Certification requirements

  • Completion of medical questionnaires or clearance

GiliPass does not override any safety or training requirements.

8.6 Booking & Operational Policies

All dive shop policies remain fully in effect, including:

  • Pre-bookings

  • Deposits

  • Cancellation policies

  • Rescheduling policies

  • Refund policies

GiliPass does not alter or override these policies.

8.7 No Cash Value

GiliPass benefits:

  • Have no cash value

  • Cannot be exchanged for cash or credit

  • Apply only to qualifying services as defined by the dive shop

8.8 Right to Refuse

Dive shops may refuse service or discount application in cases of:

  • Safety concerns

  • Misrepresentation

  • Failure to follow procedures

  • Pass misuse

9. User Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Share or resell your Pass

  • Attempt use after expiry

  • Tamper with verification systems

  • Misrepresent eligibility

We may invalidate any Pass used improperly, without refund.

10. Data Collection & Privacy

We may collect:

  • Name and email

  • Device and browser data

  • IP address

  • Usage analytics

Data is used for:

  • Pass delivery

  • Fraud prevention

  • Service improvement

We do not sell personal data.

11. Payments

Payments are processed securely via third-party providers (e.g. Stripe, Apple Pay, Amazon Pay, LINK). Payments will appear under the name “GILIPASS”.

We do not store payment card details.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, GiliPass is not liable for:

  • Partner services or experiences

  • Inability to use a Pass

  • Website or system downtime

  • External disruptions

Total liability is limited to the amount paid for the Pass.

13. Force Majeure

We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our control.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

15. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time.

Continued use of GiliPass constitutes acceptance of updates.
